About Us
Gājēdis is an adventure where nature and flavours meet. We take people away from the everyday rush – on a hike through Latvia’s beautiful corners – to then enjoy a meal together at a beautifully set table in the middle of the forest.
We believe that food is not just a meal – it is a story, a feeling and an adventure. And when it is enjoyed under the open sky, in the warmth of a campfire and the quiet of nature, it takes on a whole new meaning.
What do we offer?

Private events
we offer a unique experience for birthdays, hen and stag parties, corporate events and other special occasions. In summer (April–October) a three-course meal at a beautifully set table awaits you at the end of the hike, and in autumn and winter (October–April) a warming meal by the campfire, wrapped in warm blankets. Everything is tailored – from the route to the menu.

I love taking people on adventures – short and long, here in Latvia and further around the world. I’m convinced that with a little stubbornness and self-belief you can get almost anywhere, and that’s exactly where the greatest joy comes from.
I don’t have much free time, as it usually goes into moving or planning new adventures.

Food has fascinated me for as long as I can remember. As a teenager I was already cooking for myself, my family and friends, and it has never become boring.
I gained my love of cooking as a child, helping out in my family’s catering businesses. Now I draw new inspiration from travelling, where I most love getting to know the local cuisine.
